Ingredients:

1 cup of your preferred milk (dairy or plant-based) or water (if you do not prefer milk) (Note: skip the milk if you want to sip on a tea)

1 teaspoon Adri’s organic Ashwagandha root powder

1 teaspoon Adri’s organic Tulsi powder

1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional, for added warmth)

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

A pinch of black pepper (enhances absorption of ashwagandha)

Instructions:

  1. In a small saucepan, heat the milk or water (based on preference) over medium heat until it's warm but not boiling. Be careful not to scald the milk.
  2. Add the ashwagandha root powder and tulsi powder to the warm milk.
  3. Stir the herbs into the milk and allow them to steep for about 5-7 minutes. This allows the flavours and beneficial compounds to infuse into the milk.
  4. If desired, add a dash of vanilla extract and cinnamon for extra flavour.
  5. Stir well to incorporate the cinnamon throughout the latte.
  6. Add a Pinch of Black Pepper. This enhances the absorption of Ashwagandha. The piperine in black pepper can increase the bioavailability of certain compounds.
  7. Add honey or maple syrup to the cup and not to the milk. Honey should not be cooked directly at high temperatures. 
  8. Then, using a fine mesh strainer or tea infuser, strain the latte into the mug, removing any particles of the Ashwagandha root powder and tulsi powder.
  9. Give it a final gentle stir, ensuring all ingredients are well combined.
